Rehoboth McKinley Christian Healthcare Services (RMCHCS) - Modern Healthcare "Top 100 Integrated Health Networks" 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2010.
Baltzer designed and implemented an organizational structure to earn this coveted national recognition, ranking as
high as #58 on the list. The RMCHCS integrated system included patient care, an employed physician model, and managed
care organization (capitated HMO and 5 hospital PPO network to directly contract with large self-insured employers in the
region).
- H&HN "100 Most Wired Hospitals and Health Networks"
1999, 2000, 2001, 2003. RMCHCS received this recognition for innovative use of technology to communicate patient
care and fianancial information between staff in 9 RMCHCS locations and with external agencies/payors.
- American Hospital Association (AHA) Circle of Life Citation of Honor 2002 for providing hospice
care in a community where many people have Native American spiritual beliefs.
- Trustee
of the Year 2003 for Mrs. Arlene High, RMCHCS Board of Trustees Chair. This prestigious award is sponsored
by Modern Healthcare Magazine and Witt Kieffer. Mrs. High earned the award in the category of "hospitals
up to 250 beds" for her work to encourage state-of-the-art governance at RMCHCS, in New Mexico, regionally, and at the
national level in the United States.
- AHA Hospital Award for Volunteer Excellence (HAVE)
2005 in the "Fund Raising" Category. Charity Invitational (CI) is the RMCHCS annual fund raising
event. Charity Invititational has raised more than $2.5 million in its 13 year history to become one of the largest
annual fund raising events in the region. CI VIII brought in $500,002 in 2003!
Personal Recognition for David Baltzer - 2001 Frank Gabriel Award. Named for its founder, this is the New Mexico Hospital
Association's highest award given to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding service to the field of health care
delivery in the State of New Mexico.
- 1999 Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Award.
This award is given annually by the American College of Healthcare Executives Regent for New Mexico to a senior-level
executive based on criteria-based nominations to the Regent's Advisory Council.

Dona Ana County Human Services Coalition Award. This award was given for contribution to human services for
leadership in health care.
- 1975 St. Louis Municipal School of Nursing Faculty Award.
This special award was given for meritorious service to district, Missouri, and the National Student Nurses Association.
